Position Summary

The senior assistant dean provides essential recruitment, admission, conversion and matriculation activities and processes to meet the Law School enrollment goals and objectives. The incumbent works to increase knowledge of, and high regard for, William & Mary Law School among appropriate constituencies including prospective applicants, prospective students, enrolled students and pre-law advisors. The senior assistant dean provides strong customer service by responding to inquiries and offering information to continually improve the outcomes by which we assess applicants. The senior assistant dean plans and executes creative and targeted admission strategies to recruit and matriculate academically distinguished talented and diverse students to William & Mary Law School.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Several years of law school or college admission employment experience.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Organizational and project-management skills to plan and implement programs and projects.
• Excellent technical skills for proficient use of ACES/latest technology in law school admissions and the development and use of social media marketing.
• Demonstrated competence to work with confidential and sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications

• A JD or an advanced degree with relevant experience in higher education admission and marketing.
• Strong understanding of law school admission practices as well as internal and external policies governing academic administration.
• Proficient in use of technology to execute admission functions and data analysis.

Advertised Pay Range $40,000-$55,000 commensurate with experience
