Position Summary

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Associate Director- Programs, Outreach & Public Relations for the Muscarelle Museum of Art is a senior leadership and administrative position that reports to the Director of the Museum and works in tandem with the Muscarelle Museum of Art Foundation Board of Trustees whose focus is on the Muscarelle Museum and in the Arts. The Senior Associate Director- Programs, Outreach & Public Relations is responsible overseeing and managing directly the majority of the main areas of the Museum including public relations, marketing & communications, social media, annual giving, membership, donor stewardship, development and programs & outreach.

Required Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree and/or a combination of experience and education in a related field.
• Significant experience in the arts, preferably in the world of art museums, in Programs, Outreach & Public Relations Marketing, Development, and working with Boards of Directors.
• Successful record of productivity and achievement with excellent skills of writing and communication
• Demonstrated ability to develop and cultivate donors of works of art and financial contributions.
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills, especially communication, customer service, stewardship and organizational skills, and the ability to inspire successes among College faculty and staff.
• Demonstrated interest and desire to support and strengthen the mission of the Museum and the College.
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to the goals and traditions of the liberal arts and the role of the fine arts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree preferred to include M.A., M.F.A, Ph.D., or J.D.

Advertised Pay Range $60,000-$70,000, commensurate with experience
