Position Summary

Provide the leadership and direction for a highly competitive NCAA Division I athletic program, maintain a balance with academic excellence and uphold the standards of the College and the Athletic Department.
Create and maintain a positive, nurturing environment for the student-athletes to advance their knowledge and skills, both athletically and personally. Teach and mentor student-athletes to develop their self confidence and leadership abilities as they work towards achieving their goals through individual hard work.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
• Div. 1 or international playing experience.
• Skills or competencies related to the sport.
• Must have NCAA compliance experience.
• Must have Div. 1 recruiting experience.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities gained through prior collegiate or international playing and/or coaching experience;
• Demonstrated strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail;
• Demonstrated ability to lead small and large group discussions; conduct video analysis; and supervise collaborative group work.

Conditions of Employment:

• Must meet physical requirements for the job, including the ability to participate in and lead strenuous physical activities.
• Must work nights and weekends.
• Frequent overnight travel during week and on weekends on a monthly basis throughout the year.
• Prolonged period of sitting and standing indoor and frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
