Position Summary

This individual will work closely with the Associate Dean of Faculty and the faculty community to develop and execute a process to update faculty qualifications (Digital Measures) database. In addition, develop a process to support future updates. This will include uploading documents, entering data, analyzing and compiling reports. We expect this role will conclude by end of 2017.

Required Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with faculty and staff in regard to faculty educational and research history
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and use initiative
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, and have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and spoken communication skills necessary for working with diverse constituencies
• Accuracy and efficiency in data management and/or data entry.
• Ability to evaluate data and make sound decisions accordingly
• Proficiency in application software (spreadsheet, word processing, MS Office), with a particular emphasis in spreadsheets.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Business background and data management/data entry experience
• Experience in working with business professionals
• Experience in a higher education environment
• Experience with Digital Measures

Advertised Pay Range Up to $17.50 an hour, commensurate with experience

Conditions of Employment:

This is a non-exempt position, eligible to receive overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act. This position may be subject to overtime during high peak times, etc. as directed and approved by the supervisor.

This position is a temporary (hourly) position not to exceed 6 months. All hourly employees are subject to the limitations of the Virginia Manpower Control Program and total hours worked may not exceed on average 29 hours per week, over the course of a twelve month period beginning May 1 each year.
