Position Summary

The Institute for the Theory and Practice of International Relations at the College of William and Mary is currently seeking a Program Manager to support AidData. Activities include program management, workforce management, training and mentoring, policy and data analysis, policy outreach, and resource mobilization. This position will spend the majority of their time on AidData’s Listening to Leaders program area, which is focused on understanding the priorities and perspectives of leaders in low- and middle-income countries, and measuring the influence of their partners on policy and program outcomes. Required Qualifications

•Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Political Science, Public Policy, or a relevant degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience
•1-2 years of experience delivering high quality outputs.
•Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
•Experience in making presentations to large and/or influential audiences
•Ability to balance “big picture” thinking with attention to detail
•Proven ability to undertake diverse and complex assignments with minimal supervision and resolve competing demands
•Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a demanding and complex work environment, to carry out assignments in a timely manner, and to adapt to changing situations and priorities
•Strong and effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of researchers, clients, partners, data users, and staff

Preferred Qualifications

•Experience coordinating, mentoring, monitoring, and motivating staff and students
•In-depth knowledge of issues related to international development policy and practice
•Experience dealing with researchers and the global development community
•Experience writing grant proposals and contract bids
•Experience in the field of marketing or communications
