Position Summary

The Associate Dean for Administration and Finance will act as a strategic partner and adviser to the Dean and is responsible for establishing and executing short- and long-term goals and initiatives and will ensure these are in alignment with the School’s priorities, goals, and initiatives that are aimed at advancing the School’s image and reputation. Reporting to the Dean, the Associate Dean will lead and coordinate the non-academic functions: Facility, Finance, HR, IT/AV, Events, Administration, Faculty Support. Direct reports include: Chief Financial Officer, Senior IT liaison, Event Coordinator, Office Manager, HR coordinator, Director, Faculty Support and Director, Journal Center.

Required Qualifications

• Post Baccalaureate degree;
• Extensive and progressive leadership/management experience.
• Experience with project management and resource allocation.
• Significant managerial/supervisory experience and experience as a proven leader with outstanding people management, project management and organization skills.
• Demonstrated record of achievement in administration to include policy formulation, strategic planning, and day-to-day oversight of resource allocation processes.
• Experience in handling strategic human resource issues and an understanding of finance in higher education and/or not-for-profit organizations.
• Demonstrated evidence of strong interpersonal and communication skills with senior management and board level constituencies.
• Excellent negotiating and facilitating skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to working with a diverse population of faculty, students and staff, and being committed to a culture of professionalism with a customer service focus.

Preferred Qualifications

MBA or degree in finance or experience in financial planning preferred.
• Experience with University policies, procedures, and leadership preferred.
