Position Summary

Provide maintenance and repair on Utility Plants, Utility distribution systems, Satellite Boilers, and related equipment including locating, diagnosing, and making repairs to insure continuous, safe, and efficient operation of all equipment. Hours are Monday-Friday 3:30 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.

Required Qualifications

High School graduate or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to troubleshoot, test, diagnose, and repair Chillers, Cooling Towers, Steam Boilers, Hot Water Boilers, Utility distribution systems, and related equipment.
Experienced in the use of hand tools, power tools, gauges, and equipment used for Boilers, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Pumps, and Valves maintenance and repair.
Ability to interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
Knowledge of Utility Plant and Utility distribution systems construction methods and codes
Ability to use computers and computer programs.
Ability to deal effectively with supervisors, peers, and customers.
Good oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in construction, maintenance, and repair, of Utility Plants and Utility Distribution systems.
Experience with meters, gauges, and tools used in electrical troubleshooting.
Experience with computers and automation systems.
EPA Universal Refrigerant License. Most be able to obtain within 6 months of employment.

Conditions of Employment:

This position has been designated as essential to the operation of the department, position will require reporting to work when the College is officially closed and is subject to overtime.
Incumbent will be required to participate in Facilities Management on-call program.
