This is a high level Development position with focus on vision, strategy and major gifts.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop with the Executive Director a strategic vision and concrete actions to achieve revenue targets that align with organizational growth
• Develop an annual fundraising plan, in conjunction with the Development team
• Conceptualize, with the Executive Director, all fundraising activities
• Develop, implement and manage all aspects of planned giving including communication, administration, prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship programs and activities
• Develop a major gifts plan and identify targets
• Identify, research, qualify and cultivate prospective major donors and expand donor base using creative opportunities for engagement
• Engage staff, Board, or volunteers in the cultivation process, to include training
• Identify and implement new opportunities for donor recognition and stewardship
• Assist Executive Director in representing the organization in the community
• Explore ways to keep past Board members involved with the organization

Required Qualifications

College degree required. Advancement/development experience required. Proficiency in computer skills, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite and various types of data management software. Must be a team player and builder with excellent people skills for a diverse population. Must be well organized and extremely attentive to detail. Willingness to work occasional nights and weekends required.

Part-time contract position, $30,000 (approximately 20 hours per week)
