The Communications Coordinator will support marketing and fundraising activities, including at least one annual online fundraising campaign. The Coordinator will work closely with the Development team to create a communications plan that focuses on using social media to drive LFL’s mission and fundraising.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• In conjunction with the Development team, develop a year-round fundraising communications plan
• Research and use online fundraising best practices
• Expand LFL’s social media presence
• Create engaging social media posts and fundraising campaigns using tools such as Canva and Photoshop
• In conjunction with the Development Coordinator, develop and implement a two-month social media communications plan using online engagement best practices to build visibility prior to the launch of a week-long giving campaign at least once per year
• Support all events with social media posts and e-newsletters
• Measure the impact of all communication efforts and make recommendations for future campaigns
• Assist with preparation of the annual report
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

College degree preferred. Excellent communication, writing, and planning skills. Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a quickly changing and evolving environment. Proficiency with social media tools. Editing and proofreading skills, basic Photoshop and graphic design. Creative problem solving skills. Ability to work as part of a team. Proficiency with the internet, spreadsheets, word processing. Ability to understand and follow directions.
